Presentation
The fight against cutaneous ageing and disorders of corporal beauty are a constant in the society of image in which we live. When there are biological tools necessary to activate our own metabolism, the professional of beauty therapy realises the great influence that she can exercise in the person that deposits his or her confidence in her. Already at the end of the first session it can be felt how something has really been produced, an internal modification that is sometimes impossible to describe. But the effect of internal regeneration has been initiated.
The ageing begins in the moment in which the organism produces less cells than those that die in order to maintain the continual regeneration. In children, the creation of a greater number of cells than those that die ensures development and growth. In the adult age, the process of cellular genesis is balanced to the process of necrosis (mortality), for which the adult is maintained in a situation of stability (neither growing, nor ageing either). In mature age, the process of cellular necrosis is imposed to the process of genesis, for which more cells begin to die than those that rest: Then one talks of old age.
Ageing, as can be observed, is an evolutive process that is controlled by individual parameters, if we can observe generalized tendancies. Nutrition and a healthy lifestyle influenced positively in our interior renovation.
As the basal metabolism slows down, the organic fluids move more slowly. Amongst these, the most important is without doubt the blood. The fact that this important generator of life doesn’t reach the destine tissues to supply to it the necessary oxygen for its synthesis of energy or the basic nutrients for cellular respiration causes the progressive atrophy of those tissues and their premature ageing. And, since the skin is the most external organic system, it is not surprising that the blood has more difficulty in acceding to it and that, for this reason, it is the first organ to show symptoms of this ageing. The facial musculature begins to give way to the attraction of gravity in the eyelids, chins and cheeks. The skin is darkened and becomes opaque, almost cianotic, due to the absence of a correct elimination of Carbon Dioxide. Injuries take longer to scar and the lack of turgidity of the skin turns them into lines of expression.
The application of an electrical capacitive current in the tissues in process of ageing has other additional advantages. Besides the improvement of the trophic and circulatory effect, it is necessary to underline the effect of the cellular recharge that radiofrequency currents generate. These currents activate the cells by the own effect of the electrical field that they produce in the zone. As if it concerned small drums, the cells recharge themselves electrically generating a difference of power between the membrane, the nucleus and the cytoplasm. For this reason, the cells of the cutaneous and muscular tissues acquire more vigour to correctly perform their function and to be reproduced with greater agility.
This important fact explains why people that undergo facial treatments with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM prolong the vitality of their tissues and put back within the possible the process of cellular ageing.
The powerful biological effect, together with the immediateness
of the results in various treatments, added to the quality of these
and to the pleasant sensation of relaxation that is generated in
the client converts the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM (AUTOMATIC VITALTERM
by Active Multiplate) into the instrument of perfect work for beauty
therapists, current beauty medicine and plastic surgery.
Classification of the therapy
With modern appliances of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM, a new generation of treatments of facial and corporal beauty therapy is established. Two perspectives of identification of the aesthetic alterations treated by the appliance have been established. These classifications obey two different criteria: according to the type of treatment to apply and according to the results.
According to the type of treatment
The application of these appliances in cabin allow you to perform three types of treatment that fully cover the needs of the most advanced beauty centres:
1. Preventive treatments (when the treatment has not been manifested yet.)
2. Dynamic treatments (When the problem has been manifested and it is wished to correct).
3. Shock treatments (When you wish to see results instantly).

Example of shock treatment
*Treatment performed in the presence of a public official
These three categories of the treatments bring a new dimension in the fidelization of clientelle, in the guarantee of the results and in the proposal of marketing to develop.
According to the results
There is a second division of treatments possible with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. This division obeys another point of view (the results), but also summarizes the characteristics of the therapy.
Despite the fact that the results only using the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM are already of a high quality, the use of other apparatology together with this appliance is totally indicated. In the summary of treatments, it will be punctualized in which cases it is advised to introduce other currents, its biological effect will be summarized and it will be explained why. Physiological effect ¿Cómo puede el Sistema AUTOMATIC VITALTERM realizar esta multiplicidad de tratamientos? How can the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM perform this variety of treatments? The reply is simple: due to its powerful biological effect. The energy is introduced at cellular level in the epidermis, dermis and hypoderm and reaches the muscular cells. At its passage through the tissues, the current generates a light friction that is transformed into a profound increase of temperature. In the moment in which the organism detects a greater than normal temperature, the brain sends the order to the blood to intensify its affluence in that zone to cool it.
Simultaneously, an intercellular drainage is produced. At the same
time as the cells have received a recharge of the elements that
generate life, the cells observe how the toxins and free radicals
stagnated around them that harmed them are removed.
The cell, nourished and without barriers, is strengthened and
prepared to perform its function in a correct way and to the maximum
of its capacity, at 100 per cent. For this reason, a cell of the
muscular tissue will be firmed more intensely, after benefiting
from the effect of the current, while a cell of the cutaneous surface
will accelerate its mitosis or cellular division, In order to bring
a better renovation and a better protection to the external elements.
Nature of the treatments
This is possible for two reasons: • In the first place, for its impressive capacity of penetration
of any type of cosmetological product (firming, anticellulitic,
anti stretch marks, etc.). The aesthetic treatments are characterized by combining sinergies between distinct techniques to obtain the maximum results. The cosmetology (applications of chemical and natural active principles), the apparatology (the application of physics through the currents of electricity), massage (the application of the hands to mobilize the tissues and the fluids), exercise and a correct feeding establish the bases of what is denominated “spectacular results”. In the treatment with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM, three vital elements within this range of possibilities are combined: the chemical (the active product), the physical (the equipment) and the massage (the manual application of the selected principles). The most outstanding of this technique at general characteristics is the powerful biological effect that the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM has in the human body. This capacity of action confers to the technique an exclusivity in the therapy difficult to reach by other types of currents or known techniques. To this powerful biological effect must be added the versatility in the selection of the cosmetological product to use. The firming bottles, the anticellulitic creams, post-depilation gels amongst others are only some of the possible allies for which the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM fulfills its objectives. However, the great variety of treatments to perform is not exclusive of the adaptabilty of the appliance to the different zones of the body to be able to perform them. The fact of being able to change the treatment surfaces (the variation of the situation of the plates and accessories) confers to the technique a great versatility since it is not necessary to renounce the treatment of the face to perform the treatment of the body, but that, on the contrary, both treatments can be integrated simultaneously. This great versatility also comes defined by the fact of being able to completely change the selected treatment varying the product used and the placing of the plates. It is not necessary to invest again in more apparatology but, on the contrary, it is only necessary to move the biological effect of the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM from one part of the client’s body to another in order to be able to observe the results. All these particularities convert the treatment with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM into an innovative, modern and fast therapy and, most importantly, one that gives results. Type of cosmetological products to use
This innovative treatment technique allows you to introduce practically any type of cosmetological products. The penetration of these products is one of the differential characteristics with respect to another type of therapy. The technique is characterized by: 1. Penetrate active principles in different cosmetological supports. 2. Penetrate a greater quantity of active principles (and, therefore, of cosmetological product, penetration of 1 gram of product per minute). 3. Internally activate the active principle introduced through: a. The greatest molecular oscillation of the product Each support of the active principles used in beauty therapy has its own characteristics. Let’s analyse these differences: Gels Their watery base and great purity make them ideal in the penetration of cosmetological principles. However, you must take into account that the gel can never excede the edges of the round plate, since there is the danger that the electrical current perforates the surfaces not prepared for the treatment and even a burn can be produced. It is forbidden to apply gels with carbon base. Creams and lotions The creams are also optimum for the treatment with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. The presence of fatty elements give greater turgidity to the skin, but they can also be seen submitted to degenerative processes faster by the presence of artificial additives.
They are not advised those creams that have mentholated principles, criogenics or hiperaemiants for the improvement of the effect of the product. Phials, serums or viales The phials or products in liquid state are easily asimilable by the organism and, in many cases, present a greater concentration of active principle than other cosmetological supports. For this reason, they are widely indicated in treatment with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. The recommended form of work is the following:
If you want it, you can also perform a mixture of both products (phial + gel), that allows an easier application of the phial. This mixture gives greater consistency to the liquid and allows you to manipulate it in a simpler manner with the appliance. It is advised not to use exfoliant acids like glycholic acid, for the important improvement that is produced used together with the appliance of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. However, this type of aggressive product can be applied after having treated the desired zone previously with the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM, since this will present a homogenous hyperaemia and will be better prepared to receive the product. Essential oils Essential oils can be penetrated with the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. The form of application of the essential oils is the same as that of the phials. Due to the great purity and aggressivity of these products, a faster degradation of the appliers can be produced. They are preferably used in combination with emulsions that favour their penetration.
Specific combinations of products according to the aesthetic need can be performed. Another type of products can be penetrated by cutaneous means. For this reason, the selected products must be dissolved in water and add conducting gel to them until you have a jellified solution that can be applied with the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. Examples of this type of applications are: Gingko Biloba (circulatory problems and vascular scratches), Salix Alba (problems of pain) or other active principles used in Natural Medicine. Adulterated products If a cosmetological product is denaturalized or out of date, the appliance of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM will not penetrate it in the interior of the organism. This can be easily observed since the product remains in the surroundings of the accessory of the appliance, forming a crown. If this is produced, remove the excedent, clean the area and substitute the applied product.
It is advised to check the quality of the product to use before preceding to its application with the appliance of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. Some products can generate allergic reactions that can be improved by the biological efficiency of the appliance. It is advised to perform a previous application on the therapist
to know the speed of penetration of the product, the reaction of
the skin, the texture of the skin after the application, the suntuosity
of the product in the moment of the application and other parameters
observable with which the professional has to work. PENETRATION OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF SUBSTANCES The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM has a power of penetration of very important substances. The active principles can be transported in different types of substances that allow them to be introduced topically through the skin and improved internally by the effect of increase of temperature and vasodilation that the appliance generates. It is not surprising therefore, that the results obtained through the penetration of the active principle associated to the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM are much greater than those obtained through the use of other techniques. The products that are susceptible to be penetrated with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM are: liquids (phials, viales, serums, concentrates), gels, creams or lotions, homeopathic products, natural solutions, essential oils, active products contained in intradermic patches ... It also surprises, however, the capacity of penetration of product that generates the current. The quantity of gel or cream that can be introduced subcutaneously is approximately a gram per minute. This quantity is already an important figure if we take into account that a normal treatment can last approximately 20 minutes.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE PRODUCT IS OF BAD QUALITY Sometimes, the cosmetological or therapeutical products are not introduced correctly. This basically happens in three situations: 1. Excessively greasy or oily or for their composition (products of massage formulated with the objective of maintaining a layer that allows you to move the hands during the massage). These products are not orientated from their origin to their application together with the apparatology. 2. Products with an incorrect or inadequate formulation (those substances that, having been formulated in order to penetrate the tissues, are of bad quality or have molecules that are too large to obtain it). 3. Products adulterated or those that have past their sell-by date. In these three cases, the appliance of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM also acts as an identifier of the quality of the active products penetrated simultaneously during the treatment. This fact brings us an additional characteristic in the already attractive therapy of the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. It not only allows us to penetrate the active substances that we want, but it also allows us to identify and check their quality. A product of bad quality is that which penetrates without problems
in the cutaneous surface when it is applied together with the AUTOMATIC
VITALTERM. A product of bad quality is that which, being formulated
for that application, seems to be repelled by the skin, generating
a crown of product around the accessory of application or a compact
film of product over the surface of the plate. When this happens,
it is recommended to turn the appliance off, clean the zone and
substitute the tested product by another of better quality.
Step by step treatment guide (from brushing to the face mask)
PHASE 1: Phase 1 is based on the preparation of the skin for the treatment. Therefore, consists of the cleaning and exfoliation of the skin. The demake up and cleaning must be performed with emolient emulsions, not detergents, since mature skins usually possess little protection. This process before the application of the apparatus must be performed in such a way that it doesn’t alter the pH and trying to recover the covering capacity. Actives like dermophilic oils of wheat germ can be used, onagra, borraja, aguacate or extracts of malva, avena, altea... The exfoliation is an important phase in the treatment of ageing,
since besides preparing the skin for the penetration of cosmetics,
it favours cellular renovation. The exfoliants can be AHA or enzymatic
peelings. -Atonic: greater frequency. Each skin is unique and therefore each treatment will be different according to its needs. The treatments will be combined at the three levels mentioned. The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM can be applied in different phases of the treatment. In this stage of the treatment, the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM, has as objective to balance the side effects of the manipulations and improve the blood flow for the correct and homogenous assimilation of the applied cosmetological product. In general, a standard can be established in the application of the treatments: -Treatment before the application of cosmetic products: vibrators, suction, dry or wet heat, laser, AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. In this stage, the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM is explained exclusively with conducting gel and has an effect of preparation of the skin for the reception of the cosmetics. -Treatments with cosmetic products: According to age, wrinkles, hyperchromias, etc. With massage, iontophoresis, AUTOMATIC VITALTERM, etc. In this phase, to the purely physical action of the current of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM must be added its great capacity of penetration and activation of cosmetic substances. -Treatments after the application of cosmetic products: oclusion, high frequency, infra red, AUTOMATIC VITALTERM... in this phase, the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM stands out for normalizing the skins treated through the circulatory increase, allowing the final action of the treatment to be pleasant as well as effective. PHASE 2: Once contemplated under what variable you wish to perform the treatment (preparation of the skin, penetration of the active product or sanguine activation) and the process of cleaning and preparation of the skin has been performed, the active principle of the chosen cosmetological product is introduced. The cosmetological product can be in some of the accepted supports as appropriate to be penetrated next to the appliance of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. PHASE 3:
The action at muscular level of the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM is also very significant. With age atony appears in the muscles, that are lengthened, are hung and lose tone in a progressive manner. As a result of this process, wrinkles of expression are exaggerated, other new ones appear and the oval form of the face is lost. In order to improve the muscular tone you must apply AUTOMATIC VITALTERM against the direction of fall of the muscle to stimulate its resituation in its original places. If the flabiness is very manifest (especially after the age of 50), against the direction of the fall of the muscle in order to stimulate its resituation in its original places. If flabiness is very manifest (especially from the age of 50) excitomotor currents must also be applied of low frequency to jointly stimulate the different muscular groups of the face. It can be combined with galvanization, since it possesses trophic effect and improves the muscular contraction thanks to its effects at ionic level.

COMPARISON BETWEEN ACTIVE AND ROUND PLATE What difference is there therapeutically between the active and round plate? The images below visually summarize these differences.
These diagrams allow us to see the practical difference of the application of a treatment with one or another technique. The lights that are illuminated in the interior of the transparent structure that is shown in the photograph are a rective in the presence of the current that is emitted through the corresponding current. It is important to signal that in both cases the passive plate is situated immediately below the transparent rectangular structure. THE SAFETY HANDLE The high quality of the appliances of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM guarantees a preferential treatment to the safety of the client and, therefore, to the safety of the therapist. For this reason, the appliance incorporates an innovative safety system that allows the operator to give a part of the control of the machine to the client. This granting of authority is unlimited, since the client only
has capacity of acting in front of the fact of sending the signal
of functioning or of stoppage, but it is useful in any case since
the client receives a feedback from the machine that responds to
their sensory needs. When the client presses the safety handle, the current is put into movement and penetrates in the circuit between the active and passive plates. This is visualized on the machine through the illumination of the green pilot at the front of the appliance. When the client releases the safety handle, the current is stopped and the treatment is stopped instantly. The stopping of the passage of the current is visualized at the front of the appliance through the turning off of the green pilot. It is important that the therapist always gives the safety control to the client at all times when you connect the plates. In the first place, because the client has a direct sensitive perception of the passage of the current that can modify. In second place, because the possibility that the client falls asleep and loses consciousness of the therapy is reduced (this situation is often produced, due to the nature of the extremely pleasant sensation of the therapy and by causing an important muscular relaxation).
What sensations can the client experience when she receives the therapy? 1. As a general rule, pleasant sensation of deep heat (not comparable to other external systems of thermoheating like an electric blanket, a sauna or a hot bath). The treatment is not better for maintaining high thresholds of thermal perception, for which it must always be kept in the threshold of perceivable and pleasant sensation. 2. Sometimes, if the plates press more over some points of the skin than others on the skin, the client can feel an intense thermal sensation in those points. This incorrect application of the plates must be corrected applying a more homogenous pressure across the elastic straps, or substituting the regular covers for the covers of thermal gels. 3. It is also possible for the client to feel a sparkling sensation. That is produced with the round plate for the effect of antenna that the hairs exert over the current. This is solved applying more contact gel that improves the conductability of the skin with respect to the hair. With the active plate, on the other hand, this sensation of little electrical pinches can be produced when the contact product between the skin and the cover of the plate (normally, gel or cream) is badly distributed over the surface of the applier. The current is concentrated in the points of greater conductability and can create from this sensation small pinches to a burn. For this reason it is important to make sure that the cosmetological product is correctly penetrated in the skin or that it is homogeneously distributed by the interior surface of the plate. 4. The client can feel more thermal sensation in the passive plate than in the active. This fact has no aesthetic transcendence, for which you must only regulate the power so that the tissues situated immediately below the active plate keep irrigating each time more blood and this sensation is eventually presented. It can be produced especially in the first minutes of treatment using the gel covers. 5. There is the possibility that the client feels absolutely no sensation during the whole treatment. This is normally produced when it is worked at low powers and when the aim of the treatment is not directly linked to the cutaneous circulatory trophic effect. The fact of not feeling thermal sensation implies under no concept
that the physiological effects that generate the current of Capacative
Diathermia in the tissues are not being affected. The absence of
heat shows that not enough internal resistance is produced by the
different types of tissues that it crosses as to ascend the surface
as vasodilatation and activate the system of cooling by blood. Precautions • The therapist must first remove all metallic pieces, jewellery,
watches or similar things to perform the treatment and must have
the correct footwear. Contraindications of use The application of the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM as a treatment technique enjoys a series of advantages with respect to other known techniques. It is an innocuous technique that doesn’t generate secondary effects because of an excessive application, on the contrary to what happens with other techniques. However, it is very important to know all the details of its use to identify what the contraindications of its application are in beauty treatments. Knowing the physiological effects you will be able to know logically in which cases you must omit the application of the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM: • When the client has a pacemaker, because of the danger
of interference with this vital dispositive. If in doubt, stop performing the therapy and consult the therapeutical
department about your worries. Hygiene in the accessories The accessories with which you work the appliance are thought of to ease the work of cleaning and disinfection. The active plates have some plastic covers of blue colour that adjust perfectly to the size and surface of the plates. These covers are slid onto the active plate and cover both the active part of treatment and the part that doesn’t remain in contact with the skin. This area of the plate is recognized visually through an orifice that is practiced to the cover to identify rapidly which is the external treatment zone. The active plates have these additional surfaces because they allow to ease the traffic of clients and the cleaning of the appliers in a fast and effective way. The covers also avoid the premature ageing of the accesories and their excessive wear and tear by their continual and daily use in clients. The hygiene of the accessories is very simple. The simple fact
of generating the appliance a high frequency contributes above all
else to the processes of sterilization. The covers of the active
plates as the other accessories can be cleaned additionally with
non-aggressive products for this, with alcohol, or with soap and
water. The form of application of these products can be performed
with a paper handkerchief or, in the case of soap and water, with
a nappy of only one use. The drying can also be performed with paper.
It is not advisable to submit these accessories to unnecessary changes
of temperature, for which the later drying with artificial media
is advised against. MULTIPLICITY OF TREATMENT Complete treatment: firming of abdomen and cellulitis
AUTOMATIC VITALTERM offers the possibility of more complete treatment amongst all the existing models. This appliance allows the beauty professional to develop from one to three treatments simultaneously. Next is represented graphically how one, two or three treatments can be performed. Very common cases in all beauty salons have been chosen, such as treatments of firming of abdomen and of cellulitis in the thighs and hips. Versatility of treatment The treatment through Active Multiplate technology of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM is extraordinarily versatile. Only reversing the position of the plates and applying a firming product, a treatment of firming of abductors can be performed. Results performed in the presence of a public official The great spectacularity of the results obtained, have led us to repeat some of them under the supervision of an official institution. The results shown in this document are totally bona fide. To confirm its authenticity, some of the treatments are performed in the presence of a public official of the city of Barcelona, Spain. It is fitting to emphasize that not all people react the same to
the treatments for very different causes: Facial physionomy, elasticity
of the tissues, the practice of sport, genetical predisposition
or age. Amongst these factors, these are some of the causes that
condition the spectacularity of the results.
Face treatments by means of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM Problems of dryness in the skin (treatment of nutrition and hydration)
Hydration treatment for young skins Hydration is an essential patrimony of the skin that it is necessary to conserve, care and enrich continually so that it is maintained young, soft and flexible for more time. It is, undoubtedly, the artifice of cutaneous vitality and beauty. Hydration is an essential factor in the maintenance of youth and vitality of the skin in any period and age. For this reason, it must be known in depth the functioning of the mechanisms of hydration of the skin to understand how and why it dehydrates and the need to give it extra doses of hydration. Just as the body is made up of 70% water, this element is also that which has a dominant presence in the skin. Water is in a certain way the key to the vitality and beauty of the skin. For this reason, when the quantity of water is insufficient the corneal layer loses elasticity and experiences a sensation of tautness a phenomenon to which it is referred to, generally, with the term “dry skin”. On the other hand, a correctly hydrated skin is soft, flexible and offers a young and shiny appearance. A healthy skin is that which maintains levels of water concentration ideal. The presence of water in the dermis and epidermis favours the combination of mitotic reactions of the cutaneous cells, that contributes at the same time to renovation of our skin. An optimum water concentration is determining for the flexibility of the skin and as a consequence, for the prevention of the appearance of wrinkles of expression that are produced with age and for the scarring of little injuries. The deficiency in the ingestion of water throughout the day or the hormonal problems have a negative effect in the assimilation and fixing of water in the skin. This scarcity is quickly manifested in the cutaneous surface through inconfusable messages such as dry skin or tendancy to irritability. The dermis, that is composed fundamentally of hialuronic acid and polysaccharides, functions as a water reserve, retaining as a sponge the water that the blood vessels bring them and transmitting it to the epidermis together with nutrient substances that it can need. Once in the epidermis, the water moves up to the surface towards the keratine, where it is retained by the NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor), situated in the corneal layer and mainly made up of free amino acids (40%), pirrolidono carboxilic acids (13%) and lactate (12%). The NMF have the problem that, dealing with substances soluble in water, they can easily leave the skin in this way reducing its concentration, which means that the water is fixed worse in the epidermis. The skin loses water in two ways: By transpiration, that is an active phenomenon caused by the sweat glands to regulate the temperature of the skin, and through an inappreciable loss, that is produced as a result of passive evaporation of water through the epidermis. This evaporation, although it brings a lesser loss than that which is produced with sweating, it can also be important. This is due to the fact that the skin contains some particles called keratinocites, that are kept together by means of a type of “cement “ –composed mainly of proteins and lipids disposed in the form of sheets--, through which it is opened passage the water. For that, the denser and more cohesioned is this tissue, greater difficulties the water has to pass and evaporate on the surface. This mechanism is that which is known as barrier effect of the epidermis. In all of this process it is necessary to emphasize the importance of the lipids, since they are these (in particular, the ceramides) which contribute most that the “barrier effect” prevents the evaporation of water. It is demonstrated that in order to maintain the skin hydrated it is not enough to give it a big dose of water. This is due to the fact that the barrier effect acts in a double way: avoiding the humidity from being lost, but also obstructing the absorption of water from the exterior. It is even shown that when the skin is exposed to the water for a prolonged period, this damages the lipid layers of the stratum corneum and can cause its inflammation. As a result, it is essential to resort to the use of hydrating formulae to complete the requirements of water that the skin needs in every moment and the attraction of the blood from the dermis towards the epidermis to contribute to the reproduction of the ceramides and stimulate the fixing of water in the most external layers of the skin. The cosmetics develop their hydrating action acting in different ways over the rate of impregnation of water of the most external layers of the epidermis: • Action in surface: It is that which is performed by the first generation of hydrating formulae, formed by creams that contain moisteners (glycerine and glycols), that act at the surface of the skin, as well as hialuronic acid, due to its great capacity to retain the water. • Aportation of NMF: as researchers have advanced in the study of the mechanisms of the retention of water by the skin, they have been able to find out the components of the NMF. This formula has been produced by means of the mix of similar components. In this way, it is claimed to counteract the loss of these molecules responsible for retaining water in the epidermis. • Aportation of ceramides: It is the most recent innovation in the field of cosmetic hydration. These complex lipids have, as has already been mentioned, an important role in the constitution of the cement that maintains the cohesion of the epidermis, but atmospheric conditions (the cold) and ageing considerably reduce its quantity. In this way, at the end of the 1980's the first products with ceramides were created, that compensated the loss of these natural components of the skin and, therefore, strengthened the barrier effect. As has been able to deduce, hydration is one of the most complicated processes that affect the physiology of the skin. To this is added which is extremely interrelated with other factors or processes that also affect the skin. In this way, for example, when the rhythm of cellular renovation is altered by any circumstance, this affects the function of the barrier that the epidermis performs, and by extension, to its level of hydration. As a result, mature skins, that are renewed more slowly, need products that provide hydration at the same time as they stimulate cellular renovation. For its part, younger skins usually react to stress increasing their rhythm of cellular renovation, which also has a repercussion at their level of hydration and makes the use of specific moisteners necessary. On the other hand, with the first signs of ageing, the skin also needs an oversupply of hydration accompanied by other specific factors that compensate the loss of firmness and elasticity that it is suffering. Treatment of facial hydration aims to improve the fixing of the water molecule in the cutaneous cellular parenchyma. For this reason, a treatment of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM in the face together with a hydrating product under the individual parameters of each client must be performed. The passive plate is situated between the homoplates and must remain well fixed to the body at all times. As a general rule, the same pressure that the client’s body exercises while lying on the bed is enough to ensure that the contact is total, but even in this way you must prevent it from moving in any way. It is also advised to fix it with an elastic strap. The application of the appliance must be performed in the whole facial surface. The speed of application must be average and must always correspond to the electrical characteristics of the treated tissue in that moment. A greater sensation of heat is produced in those areas with greater bone presence: this is the chin, the cheekbones and the forehead. The power of application must also be adjusted to these individual properties and must be regulated continually throughout the session, according to the subjective indications that the client gives. The size of the appliers must be coherent with the selected treatment zone and must not exceed the natural size of the client’s factions. The manipulation of the applier must be flat over the surface of the skin at all times, adapting it to the same irregularities of the client’s factions. The hydrating product to use must not be excessively greasy and must have a pleasant texture for its penetration. It is advised to give the client an assessment about the diet and advise her to drink at least 2.5 litres of water a day. Recognizing a dehydrated skin is necessary to correct the problem. Excessively dehydratated skins can cause compensatory reactions of greater secretion of fat. This factor can give as a result a possible presence of acne. It is very recommendable to apply this treatment under these circumstances since it will not only cause compensatory reactions of greater secretion of grease, but it will also regulate in an effective manner the problem of the acne. The recommendable standard for work is of 2 to 3 sessions per week
on alternate days. It is advised between 10 and 15 sessions, according
to the seriousness of the problem. The approximate treatment time
is of 20 minutes per session. The treatment is completed with one
session of maintenance per month. Treatment of nutrition for mature skins In mature skins, the problem of dehydration is increased. The reduction of the basal metabolism and, as a result, the slowing of the metabolic processes causes that the lack of hydration is added to it the problem of reduction of the synthesis of the collagen and the fibroblasts. For the skin to correctly synthesize these vital elements, the cosmetological products to apply must be of nutritional origin. These creams incorporate a grade of untuosity that reflect a greater fat content than the hydrating creams. On penetrating deeply and activating internally the active principles of collagen and of elastine, the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM causes the mature skins to acquire greater turgidity and that the lines of expression (eyes, orbicular of the lips, nose, neck) reduce their depth. The procedure of work is identical to that performed in the hydration
treatment. The fact that the person is older and, therefore, has
a slower basal metabolism can increase the number of sessions of
the treatment from 15 to 20. In any case, the beauty professional
is who has to value what standard of continuity must be stipulated
for each client, according to personal information as can be the
quality of skin, the reaction that this person experiences for the
first treatment session, grade of cutaneous elasticity, etc. Eye bags
Eye bags are characterized by an edema of swelling in the lower eyelid. They can be caused by the accumulation of liquids, by a presence of localized fat or by genetic origin. The treatment of eye bags is a complex treatment. In the first place, the bags of watery origen are due to a modification of the parameters of hydric accumulation of the person that suffers them. This organic alteration causes the antiaesthetic bags as manifestation of the incapacity of the kidney to eliminate and drain the excess of liquid. Sometimes, lack of sleep is what is responsable for the bags of watery origin, tiredness or the excess of alcohol and tobacco. They are, undoubtedly, the most common. Very linked to the eye bags, is presented the swelling of the eyelids. This aesthetic alteration is due to a deficiency of the lymphatic microcirculation of the ocular contour. Maybe there is no relationship with the bags, but it is aggravated with these. It is usually observed on waking up, after a night of little sleep or after having slept a lot. During the night liquid can accumulate that is easily drained by pressing the connective tissue and that are appreciated visually thanks to the multiple blinkings that activate lymphatic microcirculation. A good life hygiene, with enough sleep, and avoiding the consumption of alcohol is the best prevention to avoid swollen eyelids. This variety of “watery” eye bags that is usually manifested in the mornings on getting up is normally suffered when we sleep too much in a position that favours the flow of humoral liquids towards the head. For this reason, independently of the treatment, you must advise the client affected by these bags that he or she sleeps with a pillow that raises their head from the trunk. In second place, the bags of fat origin are produced by an accumulation of adipose tissue under the eyes. These bags can have their origin in a multitude of causes, but the lack of emulsion of the fats by the liver stands out. They are seen when the fat over which the eye rests causes some little hernias, that press the connective tissue and that are visually appreciated as bulgings localized under the eyes. These bags are treated surgically in a permanent way, but can also be improved with a treatment continued with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. In third place, when the bags have a genetic origin, a permanent aesthetic result cannot be guaranteed under any current technique. The biology of the client is what determines their continual reappearance. These cases have difficult aesthetic treatment. However, a paliative treatment with Capacitive Diarthermia favours the drainage of the exudates and significantly improves the appearance of the client. To determine the origin of the bag is simple and is performed slightly pressing the eyelid: In the case of bags because of fat, a constant pressure is appreciated and the characteristic dimple is not formed. The bags are, therefore, manifestations of internal disfunctions with which they are related. Therefore, it is difficult to give them a solution if the internal cause that originates them is not improved. The system of regulation or emulsion of the fats (the liver) in the case of the bags of fatty origin. It is recommendable to send the client for a medical revision of the organic system linked to the nature of the bags. If you manage to eliminate the cause that generates the aesthetic disfunction, it is logical to think that the consequence will also be to dim (the bags themselves). If on the other hand, you work exclusively on the manifestation of the program, you will be able to obtain a transitory effect according to each organism. The treatment of eye bags manages to improve the drainage of the retained and of the exudates in the outline of the eyes. For this reason, lymphatic circulation must be improved and the reduction of the edema for the retention of liquids. The treatment consists of application of the appliance together with an adequate cosmetological product for the nature of the bags: For those of watery origin, you will opt for a product with draining active principles or of orbicular treatment; for the bags of adipose origin. The treatment consists of the application of the apparatus of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM together with a cosmetological product adequate for the nature of the bags: for those of watery origin, it will be opted for a product with draining active principles or of orbicular treatment; for the bags of adipose origin, it will be opted for a product with lipolitic principles. The cosmetological product chosen must have a pleasant texture for its penetration. Priority will be given to those cosmetics in gel form. The emulsioned forms could aggravate the problem. Next, the apparatus of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM will be applied such as is shown in the adjoining diagrams. The application must be performed with confidence on behalf of the operator, safety and decision. The treatment of Diathermia must be performed under the individual parameters of each client. The passive plate is placed between the homoplates and must remain well-fixed to the body at all times. As a general rule, the same pressure that the body of the client exerts on lying down on the bed is enough to ensure total contact, but even so you must prevent it from being moved. The application of the apparatus must be performed in the whole ocular surface. The speed of application must be medium and must always correspond to the electrical characteristics of the treated tissue (extremely sensitive, concerning the fine skin that surrounds the eye and the great watery concentration of the eye in itself). Greater sensation of heat is produced in those zones with greater bone presence: or rather, the cheek bone and the temple. The power of application must also be adjusted to these individual properties (20-25%) and must be regulated continually throughout the session, according to the subjective indications that the client gives. The size of the appliers must be coherent with the zone of treatment selected (The round plate of 33 mm of diameter is chosen by defect) and the natural size of the factions of the client must not be exceeded. The manipulation of the applier must be flat over the surface of the skin at all times, adapting itself to the irregularities of the client’s factions. The recommendable standard of treatment is of 2 to 3 sessions per week on alternate days. It is advised between 10 and 15 sessions, according to the seriousness of the problem. The approximate treatment time is of 10 minutes per session (between 5 and 7 minutes per eye is enough). The treatment is completed with one maintenance session per month. It is recommendable to complete this treatment applying the active plate in the renal zone (back) and the passive plate in the abdomen perpendicularly in the case of eye bags of watery origin. In the case of eye bags of adipose origin, it is advisable to apply the plate at the height of the liver (back) and the passive plate perpendicularly to the previous (abdomen) . This treatment must be prolonged for 20 minutes. Its aim is to stimulate the functioning of these organs and contribute to the functions of drainage and cleaning of the organism. It is recommended to perform hand massages or stimulation of the organic functions of elimination by means of podal reflexology, The results that have been obtained are better in the eye rings of watery origin than in those of adipose origin. These last ones are also visibly reduced on decongestioning the orbicular zone, but its final treatment is usually surgical.
Step 1: : Drainage of the eye bags
Step 2: Drainage of eye bags
Step 3: : Drainage of the eye bags
Step 4: Drainage of the eye bags
Eye rings (for tiredness or of genetic origin) Treatment of eye rings The eye rings are the hyperpigmentation of the delicate cutaneous tissue that it limits with the eye. It is believed that the eyes bags are due to an accumulation of sanguinary pigments in the ocular zone for a deficient circulation. Diverse factors can modify the tonicity of the blood and lymphatic canals, that are contracted in a reflexed form according to the sensitivity of each person, producing this hyperpigmentation. This tissue, extremely fine, can be hyperpigmentated in front of different external stimuli. The first and best known are the eye rings as a result of tiredness and deep stress. When we force our organisms more than we should and we don’t rest enough, our look acqires a purple or greyish tonality. These are the eye rings of tiredness. In second place, you can find people that, because of their genetic characteristics (hereditary), have developped an infraorbicular tissue much more hyperpigmented and darker than the rest of the skin. These are genetic eye rings. In this case, the total solution of the problem is impossible since it is a genetic cause. However, the reduction of the eye rings is very significant with a treatment of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM and justifies performing the treatment. In both cases, the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM is a treatment recommended as cohelper. In the treatment of the eye rings it is aimed to improve the tonality and the colour of the skin in the outline of the eyes. For this reason, a treatment of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM must be performed in the face together with a depigmentating product or, if you consider it excessively aggressive for its proximity to the eye, a hydrating or nutritive cosmetological product. When the eye rings are temporary they can be improved with gels that contain astringent substances that will tone the small capillaries and improve the blood circulation. The passive plate is situated for this reason between the homoplates and must remain well fixed to the body at all times. As a general rule, the same pressure that the body of the client exercises on the bed is enough to ensure total contact, but even in this way you must warn the patient not to move. The application of the appliance must be performed in the whole ocular surface. The speed of application must be medium and must always correspond to the electrical characteristics of the treated tissue (extremely sensitive, concerning the fine skin that surrounds the eye and the great watery of the eye itself). A greater sensation of heat is produced in those zones with greater bone presence: this is, the cheek bone and the temple. The power of application must also be adjusted to these individual properties (20-25%) and must be regulated continually throughout the session, according to the subjective indications that the client gives. The size of the appliers must be coherent with the selected treatment zone (the round plate of 33mm diameter is selected by defect) and must not exceed the natural size of the client’s factions. The manipulation of the applier must be flat over the surface of the skin at all times, adapting itself to the same irregularities of the client. The cosmetological product to use must have a pleasant texture for its penetration. The recommendable work guideline is of 2 to 3 sessions per week
on alternate days. Sessions of between 10 and 15 minutes are advised,
according to the seriousness of the problem. The treatment time
is approximately 10 minutes per session (between 5 and 7 minutes
per eye is enough). The treatment is completed with one maintenance
session per month. Dehydrated or chapped lips
The lips are the great forgotten area of cosmetic treatment in cabin. Due to the fact that it concerns an extremely fine and sensitive skin, the lips don’t usually benefit from the applications of the currents in the beauty professional. The inclemencies of the weather in winter (snow, wind and cold) or the dryness of the temperature in the summer (sun, beach, salt) especially attack the fine tissue of the lips, that crack in the form of scales. The dehydration can be so intense that it can cause small injuries, discomfort or even pain sensation. Sometimes, the application of fatty products like lip protectors or vaseline are not enough to attack the problem of dehydration and eliminate the formation of the scales. This is due to the fact that an oily or greasy product cannot itself fix the water molecule in a very mistreated skin but it is with the help of the blood. If the tissue doesn’t receive a correct sanguine nutrition, generating a greasy film that maintains the optimum level of water in the skin (avoiding its evaporation), is not enough for the lips to be hydrated effectively. For this, it is an indispensable requisite that is the blood that fixes the water molecule in the cellular parenchyma. The application of a treatment of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM exerts a very beneficial effect in the lips. In the first place, it favours the deep rehydration since it stimulates the affluence of blood from the interior. In second place, it facilitates the penetration of external nutritive substances with high water content (H2O), for which the greater turgidity and flexibility of the skin is guaranteed. In third place, it fills and gives volume to the lips, making them more meaty and sensual, as a result of the pressure that blood exerts against the labial tissue. Nor can it be forgotten the passage of time in the contour of the mouth. The little wrinkles that are manifested in the orbiculars of the lips are also improved notably. Its depth is reduced, the line of the wrinkle is opened (flattening the imperfection) and it is fed through the supply of active principles of the cosmetological product. For all these reasons, the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM exerts an aesthetic treatment of high quality for the lips and their area of influence. The standard of the treatment is an application of between 5 and
10 minutes twice per week. Between 5 and 15 sessions can be performed
according to the level of existing dehydration. One mainternance
session per month is recommended. Facial ageing
The ageing of the tissues is an unstoppable process of our Biology. It is produced in a progressive way from 25 years of age and is prolonged until our death. Physical ageing is the manifestation of a physiological process of slowing down of cellular regeneration of the cutaneous, bone, nervous, muscular cartilaginous tissues...... It is probably one of the most complex treatments to which the beauty professional is confronted. The modifications affect distinct structures and in distinct grade, with the added aggravation that the manifestations of the alterations of the tissues are produced in a gradual way. For this reason it is necessary to treat the zones where the deterioration is most visible. The type of antiageing treatment can be a preventative treatment or a paliative treatment. To know the different fields of acting of the currents of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM in cutaneous rejuvenation, the physiology of the ageing is analysed, the cosmetics that must be used and what physiological effect is given off from the action of the combined action of the diathermic electrotherapy and of the active principles. The visible signs of ageing of the skin are essentially represented by the appearance of wrinkles and folds sunk in the face and neck, as well as other parts of the body. Joined to them other changes are observed that can be summarized in cutaneous drying, senile atrophy, the elastosis senile actinico (loss or degeneration of elastic fibres of the dermis), pigmentary stains, alterations of vascularization, tumoral formations and the alteration, loss or degeneration of the elastic fibres of the dermis), the pigmentary stains, the alterations of the vascularization, the tumoral formations and the alteration of the cutaneous annexes. As an example of formation of the wrinkles we can take the face. In it throughout time, lines begin to appear, folds, stretch marks or wrinkles due to the loss of muscular tone amongst other things. These facial lines can be of three types: static or orthostatic lines (those that are marked from birth and correspond to the natural folds of flexion and extension- elbow, wrist, neck, etc--), the dynamic lines of expression (those that begin to appear around the age of 25) and the gravitatory lines (those that appear from the age of 40). Within the dynamic lines or the lines of expression, the muscular tone is of vital importance. The cutaneous muscles, according to the orientation of its fibres, establish lines of force that indicate the direction of the cutaneous sliding. The wrinkles of expression that stand out most are the wrinkles of the external angle of the orbicular of the eyes, called “crows feet” (that are accentuated when you laugh), the horizontal wrinkles of the forehead, the vertical interciliar wrinkles that form the folds of the area between the eyebrows, the circunmoral wrinkles (perioral, around the mouth) or periorals and the marked lines of the “rictus” (that are marked more when talking). The graviatory lines are due to a real ageing of the tissues. From the age of 40, the boney atrophy is manifested more intensely, the loss of teeth, muscular degeneration, reduction of the adipose layer (that is displaced and is accumulated in the low parts of the face), the deep dehydration, esclerosis of the dermis.... the skin becomes flabbier, loses its usual support and falls because of the action of gravity together with the dynamic folds. These lines are more accused together with boney prominences (orbit, cheek bone, jaw), in the upper and lower eyelids, with formation of bags and deposits of fat. The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM is shown in these cases in all its splendour. The most direct effects of gravity as are the falling of the cheekbone, the superciliar arc and the chin on resituating the musculature in its place again, stabilizing the muscular degeneration. The layers of the dermis are deeply rehydrated and the lines of expression are disimulated. The tone of the skin acqires a greater texture and the oxygenation is visibly increased. The client can herself check the changes developped in a short period of time of only ten minutes. It also incides directly on the histological and biological modifications of the cutaneous senescence. These variations can be produced in the slimming of the epidrmis, the flattening of the dermoepidermic union and the alterations of the structure of the dermis, especially of the elastic fibres and collagen. The modifications of the epidermis are the most visible in the process of ageing. This layer, by being in direct contact with the environment, is seen especially exposed to external factors (sun, cold, wind, contaminants, etc.). The most significant histological changes are the progressive slimming of the epidermis, the reduction of the number of melanocites, and the reduction of the number of cells of Langherans.. The DNA system incides positively over the increase of the epidermic renovation. As the slimming is greater in the spiny layer due to the process of ageing, the effect of the application of the current with a cosmetic product is felt quickly because the cutaneous desquamation derived from the increase of the stratum corneum is stopped. The number of the melancites decreases, for which a reduction of protection to the sun is produced. An increase of the cohesion of the corneocites is observed. The cellular trophic improvement also has a bearing on the improvement of the capacity of immune response of the skin, which improves considerably its response to exterior agressions. These effects produce some changes in the properties of the epidermis. In the first place, the barrier function of the epidermis is stabilized. In spite of conserving its main function of primary protection of the body, the permeability of the epidermis increases with the process of ageing, for which the penetration is easier. Cellular strengthening and cutaneous hydration normalize the normal resistance of the skin in front of external agents. In second place, the immunitory capacity is reforced that brings with it a stabilization of the inflammatory response and a reduction of the sensitivity to certain stimuli. Thirdly, it reduces the time of scarring, since there is an acceleration in cellular renovation. This effect is easily checked if you carefully follow the evolution of another injury in any other zone. This observation shows how the ageing process produces a normal slowing down in the cellular renovation in the zone which is not treated, in front of a rapid mitotic division and the resulting scarring of the treated injury with current of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM. In fourth place, the pH is liberated from the epidermis, limiting its tendancy towards acidity and its lower resistance to the alkalis and of the capacity to neutralize acids. It is well-known that the cellular renovation of the epidermis requires a control of the rhythm of proliferation of the basal cells. This control allows you to maintain an adequate population of queratinocites in the process of differentiation and a stratum corneum of a sufficient quality so that it acts as an effective cutaneous barrier. Recent investigations confirm the existence of a very precise mechanism that allows the physiological destruction of a variable number of queratinocites that have abandoned the proliferant stratum. In this way the “disappearance” of queratinocites in the kinetic epidermis is explained. The term apoptosis, for its etimology, could be related to the
phenomenon of reduction or fall of the leaves or petals of a plant
or a flower. The apoptosis can be considered as a physiological
cellular death, with the mission of eliminating unnecessary, damaged
or harmful cells. It is differentiated, therefore, from the necrosis
in the measure in which the necrosis is a pathological cellular
death. At the level of the epidermis the queratinocites that experience
apoptosis disconnect their desmosomes with the neighbouring cells,
they fragment first their nucleus, and afterwards the whole cell,
without rupture of the lisosomes and the mitochondria. This fragmentation
gives rise to apopoptic bodies (membranous vesicles that contain
cellular fragments) that are phagocytosed the neighbouring cells
or macrophages, without producing any inflammatory reaction. The process of ageing also has a bearing on the dermoepidermic union. This union doesn’t apparently suffer changes in its histological structure, but with age it tends to level out. The cohesion between the epidermis and the dermis is deficient, in a way that the skin makes us more vulnerable to the traumas, as well as developing a greater ease to the formation of phials. The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM favours the cohesion between the different levels of the skin, due to the important trophic and circulatory effect that it generates, limiting the reactions in front of the traumatic effects. The modifications of the dermis in the process of ageing are not as visible as those manifested in the epidermis, but they don’t stop being less important for this. These modifications are the cellular alterations, the alterations of the fibres, the alterations of the fundamental substance, the vascular and lymphatic modifications and the alterations in the dermic nervous system. The cellular alterations are intensified. With age, the dermic fibres, and the proteic components of the fundamental substance stop producing their secretions. The number of fibroplasts reduces, producing a reduction of the mitotic capacity and the number of mastocites (very fat cells, a type of leucocite). The response to the inflammations is also reduced. The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM acts positively increasing the number of fibroblasts and, as a result, increasing the mitotic capacity, the number of mastocites and it regulates the natural response to inflammations. In the fibres, ageing is manifested in disorganisation of the bundles of collagen. These bundles are slimmed, fragmented, disorientated and with a frayed appearance. The degeneration and reduction of the elastic fibres is produced. In the papilary dermis the fibres are less numerous and lose their verticality. In the mid dermis they tend to enlarge, and in the deep dermis an elastosis is produced with increase of the density of the elastic network. The combination of these alterations of the fibres causes a loss of the turgidity and elasticity of the dermis. An amorphous material at the level of the papilary dermis is originated, also denominated elastosic material, that keeps increasing with the passage of age, eventually occupying the whole reticular dermis. The alterations in the fundamental substance are the reduction of the fundamental substance in proportion to the fibrous tissue, with alteration of their structural glucoproteins and of their proteoglycan constituents. It is less rich in hialuronic acid and it becomes less permeable, less hydrated and less fluid. The nutritive exchanges reduce, since the fundamental substance loses in great part its capacity to attract and conserve the circulating liquids, with which a deep dehydration is produced. The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM increases the intercellular drainage, for which the circulating liquids are seen newly attracted towards it, intensifying the processes of cellular respiration. The vascular and lymphatic modifications are manifested in the reduction of the vascularisation by rarificacion of the terminal capillaries, with reduction of the blood flow. The functioning of the lymphatic capillaries is tightly linked to the circulating tissues that with age are mobilized less, slowing down the lymphatic drainage. In this aspect, the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM restitutes the deficient vascularization, considerably increasing the blood flow. This effect is manifested by the important hyperaemia that is created in the application zone. The greatest speed with which the blood circulates increases the speed of the process of disintoxication of the lymph and accelerates the lymphatic drainage. The increase of the process of elimination of the toxins and the important haemolymphatic movement that it creates over the organism is evidenced by the elimination of liquid through the urine that is produced after the application of the equipment. The vascular modifications are the cause of hypothermia characteristic of the senile age, as well as the appearance of senile purple (for rupture of the capillaries). It is also related to the reduction of arrival of nutritive substances, the alteration of the inflammatory response (the necessary elements for the inflammation that procede from the circulatory torrent arrive in less number and more slowly), and a slow and anomalous scarring. Thanks to the improvement of respiration and to the processes of metabolic nutrition, the oxygenation is improved in a high percentage and the rhythm of scarring is accelerated. This effect is the response of the organism to the electrical circuit of high frequency to which it is submitted. The alterations in the dermic nervous network are the increase of the lintel of painful tactile and dermic sensitivity, manifesting itself with a lesser perception to pain. The process of ageing also affects other tissues, as are the adipose tissue and the muscular tissue. The modifications that are produced are various. At the level of the subcutaneous tissue a reduction of the fat accumulated in the adipocites, that together with the disorganisation of the fibres leads to an atrophy of the adipose panicule, and the resulting “slackening” by the loss of support of the dermic fibres. At the level of the muscular tissue a reduction of the volume is observed with loss of tone. As a result, the muscles that serve as support to the skin lose part of their mass, and stop causing certain reliefs. The treatment of the facial tissues with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM compensates these effects of ageing. The dermic fibres are reinforced, increasing their support, and then muscular tissue is stimulated, returning to it the place before suffering the loss of volume and tone. Within the alterations caused by ageing, you must pay attention to those that are caused in the cutaneous annexes. These alterations are: *Greying (aproximately half of the population has grey hair at
the end of the fifth decade). *the reduction of the number of ecrine glands (approximately 15%). Likewise the production of sweat is less in old people both at rest and exercise. The size and number of sebaceous glands does not diminish, but the production of sebum decreases by 60%, mainly due to the decrease in androgenic activity. *Adenomas (benign epithelial tumors, generally of structure similar to a gland) and sebacious quists by hiperplasia (abnormal multiplication of the elements of a tissue) of the sebaceous cells. Ageing brings with it other modifications. There is a series of
important functions that deteriorate with age. These are the physiological
functions. Ageing is a sum of time lived and the way of living it.
From the time lived some endogenous causes give rise to the genetic
theory of ageing. Of the way of living, some exogenous causes are
derived, that give rise to some external factors that influence
in ageing. This process is, therefore, the sum of the genetic theory
and of the external factors. Reduction of the proliferation and reparation of the queratinocites: the epidermis slims, and desquamates; the barrier function, therefore, is also altered. The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM activates cellular renovation and attenuates the wear and tear and reduction of the epidermis. The aesthetic treatments complimentary to the therapy will go directed to improve the epidermic renovation and to the protection to external agents. Reduction of the immunitary response: ageing can cause a greater sensitivity to the external agents. It will be cared that the cosmetics of cleaning are not detergents, to avoid sensitizing substances, and use hipoalergenic products. The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM will alleviate inflammatory processes in order to limit the sensitivity of the skin and return it to normality. Reduction of the vascular response: The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM stimulates the vascularization, in a way that also favours the cellular metabolism. The complementary treatments applied will have to be orientated to improve the trophism and cellular respiration. Reduction of the secretions: The protective function of the hydrolipidic emulsion is almost null. We will try to repair the epidermic lipids, and improve the protective function with cosmetic emolients. The improvement of the fixation of the water molecule in the deepest layers of the skin contributes to stabilize the reticula of ceramides that the water retains in its interior. In this way the grade of nutrition and hydration is improved. Reduction of solar protection: It is important the protection with filters and solar screens that besides prevent the appearance of stains and dehydration. The causes of cutaneous ageing have continually worried scientists and continue at present under study. In the cutaneous ageing different factors both genetic and internal have a bearing that it is necessary to know and investigate through a careful questioning, and note in the personal file of the clientelle. These will orientate us in the aesthetic treatment to perform and in the preventive measures that must be taken into account. The last causes of ageing are still an enigma for science, although the most current theories can be grouped into two large generic divisions: Those that are based on the etiology of the genetics and in those which are founded in others of environmental type. According to the genetic theory, the mechanisms that control ageing would be “written” in the DNA of our cells, with which the proliferative capacity of the cells would be limited by the human genome. The changes produced by age would be nothing other than a continuation of the normal genetic signals that regulate the development of every living being. With respect to these theories of programmed senescence, although they haven’t been able to be confirmed experimentally, existence of genes of the longevity and that these are very directly influenced by environmental conditions, these acquiring a vital importance in the processes of ageing. If we admit that the process of ageing is determined by a physiological mechanism, by a family predisposition and by influences that incide on the skin, the environmental stress would be an unchaining and aggravating effect of this process. Between the environmental factors that cause surface dehydration and deprive the skin of protection favouring the ageing, we can cite the exaggerated, and to dry and contaminated atmospheres (including air conditioning). In the paliative and preventive treatment against ageing, several steps must be followed. Given that the modifications that ocur in ageing affect different structures, an integral treatment will be performed that contemplates all the alterations and cutaneous manifestations, besides other medical, dietic treatments of life habits etc., that can be recommended. Generally a treatment of preventive type is established, to which later will be introduced modifications according to needs of the client, with special incidence in the zones most sensitive to the passage of time. The specific treatments will be able to be general or for zones, making greater emphasis in the body areas that before manifest the ageing: orbiculars of the eyes and lips, necks, hands, face and body in general (arms and internal parts of the thighs, abdomen and breasts). The work protocol of this type of complex treatment is the sum of the different individual treatments. It is advised to read carefully the specific treatments desired. With the arrival of menopause all the manifestations fundamenrtally due to hormonal changes, but also to a greater susceptibility to climatic effects (especially the sun), for which preventive measures will be taken. It is also necessary to contemplate the shock treatment, or rather ultrarapid treatments of immediate beauty. For this reason, the protocol will be followed of work of the non-surgical lifting treatment and it will be proceded to a making up that allows you to emphasize to the maximum the spectacularity of the treatment. The substances that must be ionized are regenerating substances, rich in elastine and collagen, and with all the active principles that stimulate the cellular renovation and recovery of firmness. Many of these substances are specified in the section of “Activation of all types of substances”. The effects that are obtained with multiples. In the first place, the important penetration of substances stands out (hydration, stimulation of epidermic renovation) especially in cases of atrophy. In second place, the peripheral circulatory stimulus, visually identifiable through the redenning of the treated zone. In third place, the trophic effect, that corrects the circulatory defecit and of metabolic respiration for the process of ageing. In fourth place, the circulatory stimulus that acts against the lack of vascular tone. In fifth place, the scarring action. In ninth place, the stimlus of the metabolism for which a circulatory increase is produced, draining and calming. In tenth place, it stimulates microcirculation, favouring the penetration of substances and improving cutaneous toning. Finally, it also stands out for improvement in the processes of elimination of liquid excedents and toxins, for which the circulatory lymphatic defecit is regulated. The scientific bases established through the study of the main manifestations of the ageing, of its causes, of the cosmetics and techniques that can be used allow you to plan a general treatment protocol of the wrinkles, and devitalized skins. The treatment of the redenning also includes other aesthetic treatments like alterations of the grade of hydration, of the pigmentation, neck and eyes, etc., through which a brief reference to these will be made, which is ampliable through the individual files of each treatment.
In general lines it can be affirmed that the objectives are correcting the dehydration and desquamation, to paliate or reduce the cutaneous stains, regenerate the epidermis, reduce the elastosis and flabiness, improve the nutrition and the cellular metabolism and the muscular tone. In preventive and paliative treatments, the modifications in all
the cutaneous structures must be studied: epidermis, dermis, muscular
tissue, nails and hair. You must pay special attention to sensitive
zones like the contour of eyes and mouth, using the techniques of
palpation and observation. Other media such as In cases as complex as the treatment of cutaneous ageing it is very important to perform a design of the treatment that we are going to perform at short or medium term, depending on the grade of ageing. For this we are going to base on the modifications that the skin presents in three levels: In the epidermis, in the dermis and in muscular tissue. The technical media necessary according to the priorities that are established. The demaking up and cleaning of the skin must be performed with emolient emulsions, not detergents, not to alter the pH of the skin, and procede to the exfoliation of the epidermis. The acting on the epidermis of the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM improves the penetration of substances. The skin is dehydrated because of lack of hydrolipidic emulsion, therefore the treatments will be of hydration. As, besides the cellular renovation is reduced, it is convenient to stimulate it through exfoliants like the AHA that favour the hydration, the synthesis of mucopolysaccharides and the quality of elastic fibres and collagens. The manual or mechanical massage exerts a stimulating and queratoplastic action. The acting on the dermis of the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM is the improvement of the elasticity and of the circulation, the hydration in depth and the stimulation of the fibroblasts. The main modification in the dermis is produced in the fibres that are disorganized, elastosis is produced and the fundamental substance loses its capacity to retain water. The trophic effect and of stimulus of the circulation that the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM exerts, applied in a punctual way in the points of acupuncture or along the wrinkles, as well as favouring the metabolism and the circulation at a deep level. The manual massage with the appliance of cosmetics rich in amino acids, oligoelements, vegetal embrionary extracts , marine extracts, derivates of organic silicon etc., will complement the actions of the previous techniques. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
