Firming treatment and remodelling of breasts

The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM is indicated for treatments of firming and modelling of breasts. Flabiness is an alteration of the tissues of the skin characterized by the loss of tone and elasticity. It is usually the result of cutaneous ageing, although it can also be observed after pregnancies or generalized after very debilitating illnesses.

The breasts are of vital importance in woman not only because they fulfill an elemental biological function, lactancy, but also because they constitute a clearly feminine attribute. Therefore, its alterations, whether pathological or aesthetic, are cause for great concern for the majority of women. In order to elaborate the treatment protocols, some aspects of the anatomy and physiology of the breast are presented:

The anatomy of the breasts varies throughout life and in certain physiological states such as pregnancy and lactancy. The mammary gland, made up of lobes separated by conjunctive tissue rich in adipose cells, and lined with galactophorous conducts (excretory conducts of the mammary gland that conduct the milk to the nipple), increases in size on reaching puberty as influence of sexual hormones. The adipose tissue that surrounds the whole gland, except the aureola, also increases in size. The whole is covered by a fine and fragile skin that sits on the fibrous tissue, that joins it to the end of the clavicle and to fibrous surrounding of the pectoral muscle. In the centre is the areola with the nipple. When this fibrous tissue is firmly joined to the muscles, the breast is maintained firm.

On the contrary, when it is distended it tends to slide along the breast, causing the mammarian ptosis (fall or prolapse of the mammary organ or part of it). In maturity, the gland is already conformed and the areola is darkened. During the menstrual cycles modifications are observed in the volume on producing vasodilation and hydric retention in the second part of the cycle. The hormonal changes of the pregnancy and lactancy condition that the breast increases in size and the areola and the nipple are hyperpigmented. After birth and lactancy the mammarian tissue remits until you acquire a size somewhat superior to the initial. Due to these changes, pregnancies and lactancies very repeated can cause flabiness and mammarian ptosis. Very repeated pregnancies and lactancies can cause flabiness and mammarian ptosis. Stretch marks can also be formed by discharge of corticoides of suprarrenal origin.

The ptosis can also be produced by a loss or an increase of adipose tissue, that causes a reduction of the elasticity ,with distension of the conjunctive tissue, producing the sliding of the breast. In menopause, a retraction of the tissues and atrophy of the breast is also produced, on ending the influence of the ovarian secretions, accentuating this fall of the breast.

The aesthetic concept of the ideal breast is relative and the conons of beauty have varied throughout history. The ideal bust is considered to be that which has a harmonic relationship throughout history. The good appearance of the breast is conditioned by the following factors: Position, firmness, volume, adherence to the thorax and the cutaneous and muscular tonicity.

The form of the breasts is generally spherical, presenting wide variations. Its volume is variable, and it depends on the age and physical complexion. The adequate constitution of the thorax and the good trophism of the pectoral muscles are fundamental elements for which it respects the aesthetic appearance of the breasts, as well as the maintenance of a correct corporal posture. The elasticity of the teguments allows its tension to maintain its exterior smoothness.

The causes that can contribute to give to the breast a bad position, increase or diminish its volume, make it lose its firmness and to cause its fall are various. It is the case of the hipomastia (mammarian hypoplaxia; small breasts or hardly developped), hypermastia (mammarian hypertrophia, large breasts), gigantomastia (very increased grade of hipermastia due to endocrine or hereditary factors) and benign pathologies like the adenofibromas (benign tumour that in the breasts are related with disorders in the production of progesterone), the adenomas (benign epithelial tumour, generally of structure similar to a gland) and the cysts.

Therefore, after the birth, sometimes a light flabiness is noticed in the breasts, because the excessive swelling during the period of pregnancy causes the distension of the superficial fascia and the softening of the elastic fibres.
Also the muscles of the back have their importance: If these are toned and the woman walks upright there is greater risk of mammarian ptosis. But the skin is the real and most important mechanism of suspension of the breasts. We can say that the skin and the muscles of the neck are the most valid physiological subjector. For this reason, the cares and aesthetic treatments of the breasts will be directed to care for the skin, and to strengthen the muscles of the neck and back.

Another factor that contributes to the good state of the breast is the conjunctive tissue. The mammarian gland is submerged in a net of conjunctive tissue, that serves to support between its straps the cellular elements), that paricipates in the tonicity of this. If this tissue is altered, reduced or weakened, modifications are observed in the volume and firmness of the breast.

The treatment with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM in the breasts is efficient because it influences positively in the four levels necessary for the care of the breast. In first place, it rehydrates and feeds the skin, avoiding the relaxation of the cutaneous covering after the transitory hypertrophy of the pregnancy, obesity or for age. In second place, it favours the penetration of cosmetic or natural products and allows you to model the volume of the gland that, for the age or hormonal disorders, would have been able to diminish. In third place, it stimulates the blood circulation and cellular respiration of the adipose and conjunctive that would have been able to have been seen reduced because of the most diverse pathologies (malnutrition, psychic disorders, etc.).
Finally, it favours the stimulation of the superficial musculature, generating an increase for lack of subjection or physical exercise.

The alterations or modifications of the breasts are atrophy, hypertrophy, ptosis, flabiness and stretch marks. The care for the breasts can be summarized in the following points: in first place, you must re-establish the endocrine equilibrium if there was some disorder. In second place, you must correct bone defects, if there were them, and study the adequate garment as support. In third place, you must tone the muscles with the application of the sessions of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM, electrostimulation, massages and active exercises. In fourth place, you must attend the cosmetological cares with active substances that improve the elastcity and tonicity of the skin. And, as final option, aesthetic surgery.

The treatments and cares of the breasts are not going to be limited to local aesthetic treatments, but require a collaboration between professionals of medicine, physiotherapy, integral aesthetics and even corsetery, without forgetting the patient. The treatments of the aesthetics professional will be centred on the preventive and paliative measures of the different alterations, limiting itself to the treatment of the cutaneous covering and strengthening of the anex musculature (pectorals, neck and back). The gland must be treated after a treatment of aesthetic surgery.

The firming treatments are applied likewise combined in cases of ptosis mamaria as correction, but also can be preventive treatments before a pregnancy or a slimming diet. When the flabiness is very localized, for example, in some breasts where a hyperelasticity of the muscular tendon has been produced, sometimes prior aesthetic surgery is necessary.

flabiness is clearly perceivable to the palpation. The breasts, as opposed to other organs, don’t possess any support element or really effective suspensor ligament. This makes it especially fragile to different modifications that it suffers with age, and to the hormonal variations.

The cutaneous needs of the treatment of firming of breasts are the improvement of cutaneous elasticity and the increase of muscular tone. The cosmetics with regenerating and firming action can be serums, biological concentrates, biomarine active principles, collagen, elastine, oligoelements, etc. Also extracts of vegetal origin like asian centella, equinacea, ginseng, lupule, pony tail, etc. The organic silicon, the same as the minerals and oligoelements, all derived from algae (fucus, laminaria, litotame) will also have an active role. The firming creams can also include vegetable oils (wheat germ, rose hip, jojoba, etc,) and animal oils, rich in vitamins A, E, F,; escualene, etc. The ampoules are usually based on tissue extracts (placenta or more recently based on embrionic vegetables), serums, phytobiological preparations, vitamins, glychoproteins (fibronecticna, tubuline, mucopolysacraricos (hiluronic acid).

The AUTOMATIC VITALTERM favours the penetration of deep substances, causes a deep hyperthermia that favours the vascularization of the tissue and, therefore, the metabolic processes. If the flabiness is important, it is recommended to complement the treatment with the application of passive exercise in the pectoral and dorsal muscles ( the muscular support of the breast). The excitomotor currents are the technique of choice since they improve the muscular tone. They will be applied mainly in all the muscles that form the natural support of the breast in order to improve the muscular tone.

In order to obtain the maximum results possible, it is recommended to apply in first place the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM and, next, the electrostimulation plates. The reason that explains the biological efficiency of this order is the fact that passive exercise tones more intensely the musculature when an internal vasodilation has been generated previously, When the cosmetological chemical substances have been penetrated with the active priiciples and when an intense cellular oxygenation has been produced. Then the electrostimulation is much more active and effective.

The treatment with AUTOMATIC VITALTERM aims to tone the whole breast, the cutaneous surrounding and the strengthening of the annex musculature (pectorals, neck and back). Any sign of alteration in the skin, areola or volume of the breast can be a sign of alarm, and it must be remitted immediately to specialized consultation. The aesthetics professional will perform the muscle toning and the cosmetological cares, collaborating in the postoperatories of aesthetic surgery or others under medical prescription. The aesthetic treatments will be able to be preventive or paliative in cases of ptosis, flabiness, cares during the pregnancy, stretch marks and pre and post-operatory cares.

The results obtained are significant from the first session. As a general rule, a firming of between 0.5 cm and 3 cm is obtained. This firming will remain stable or will even tend to increase throughout the sessions. It is also possible to produce a reverse of a session to the following, according to the size of the breast and later care of the client at home. It is also expressed how in some women the treatment of breasts applied a few days before having the period produces a stabilization of the breast or it can even fall a centimetre. The reason for which in the premenstrual period this reaction has been checked in the experimental cases. It is important to take into account hormonal variations that are produced in the feminine bilogy during menstruation.

Preventive treatment of ptosis in breasts (maintenance treatment)

This type of treatment responds to the most usual cares, adequate for women who have a correct breast and want to conserve their good state the greatest time possible. The maintenance treatment is very important in pregnancy, where the hormonal changes can favour the appearance of stretch marks and ptosis, besides puberty, menopause or when diets are followed. The cutaneous needs are prevention of ptosis and maintenance of the good state of the breast.

If hormonal disorders or cases of obesity exist, aesthetic treatments will not be performed before the diagnostic and medical report. In the preoperatories hydration treatment will be performed through the penetration of a hydrating product with the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM for the preparation of the skin under medical supervision. In the post-operatories it will be the only one prescribed (generally lymphatic drainage, AUTOMATIC VITALTERM, massage and hydration).

The cosmetics of choice will be the hydrating ones, regenerating and tensors in the first sessions of shock, in the form of concentrates (ampolla), in a way that a stimulation of the tissue is produced, that can then be with hydronutritive treatments. The active substances can be serums, biological concentrates, active biomarine principles, collagen, elastine, etc. The emulsions with hydronutritive action will include the active principles, hydrants already mentioned, and dermophilic oils: aguacate, aloe, wheatgerm. The regenerating cosmetics of AHA base, citoquines, extracts of rose hip, equiseto, mimosa tenuiflora, etc. will help to repair the damaged tissue. The application of acids must be performed after the treatment with the AUTOMATIC VITALTERM.

The standard of treatment is of 2 or 3 sessions per week for 10-15 sessions. It is recommended to perform one maintenance session per month.

Treatment of BREASTS

Before After (1 session of 40 minutes)

The physionomy of the model is studied and the measurement of the fall of the breast is taken. For this, you can measure the distance of the aureola of a breast from one breast to the aureola of the other with a.

The cosmetological firming product that you wish to apply is chosen.

It is applied in the treatment zone through a massage.

The conducting gel is applied with the help of a tweezer.

The round plate is applied in the whole surface of the breast. Work around the mammarian sponge, without arriving to treat the aureola. The rising application must be performed with greater pressure than the falling application. The contact between the applier and the skin must be total at all times and must be adapted uniformly to the irregularities of the breast.

The muscular tensor of the breast is worked.

The round plate is moved in falling direction with uniformity and adaptability, but with greater pressure. The treatment by breast has a duration of 10 to 15 minutes approximately according to the volume of the breast.

Next, the result of a treated breast is appreciated (at the left of the image) with respect to the untreated breast (on the right). The firming is so evident that even the treated breast appears smaller. It has acquired a more rounded shape and the great flabiness in the axilar region has been corrected.

The firming product is applied, the conducting gel and the treatment is repeated.

The firming is already evident at sight. The measuring tape states that the firming has been of 2,5 cm.

TREATMENT TYPE: Firming of breasts
NUMBER OF SESSIONS: 12-15 sessions
TIME PER SESSION: 20 minutes (10 minutes each breast)
FRECUENCY OF THE SESSIONS: 2-3 times per week
PRODUCT USED: Conducting gel, firming product
PROBLEM: Flabiness in the breasts and sagging
ELEMENTS TO TREAT: The breast: central part (avoiding the contact of the electrode with aureola of the nipple), lower part, upper part, side part.
The pectoral tensor muscles.
POSITION OF THE CLIENT: The client must be lying on the bed
ACCESSORIES -ROUND PLATE
-Size Large, always according to the volume of the breast.
- Application: Circular application of medium pressure in falling direction and of high pressure in rising direction, especially in the laterals of the breast.
PERFORMANCE: Introduce a firming product by means of a massage. Put the conducting gel in the whole surface of the breast. Massage the zone with the plate. Begin at the centre, making descending circles of light pressure. Continue from the sides of the breast, picking up the breast with risng circular applications of considerable pressure of the applier. Go up again to the centre of the breast. Repeat the same movement up to the clavicle and go down again to the breast 2 or 3 times in order to tense the pectoral muscle. Descend with applications of minimum pressure throughout the breast and, once below, press as the breast is picked up circularly. Go up again to the centre of the breast. Repeat the process of firming of the tensor muscles.
RECOMMENDABLE COMPLEMENTS: A firming face mask: it is advisable to apply this type of face masks at the end of each session.
RESULTS Results can be observed from the first session. In some cases, a raising of the breast of two to four centimetres has been observed.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:

If you have a malign quist. (However, some medical experiments have demonstrated that the current of AUTOMATIC VITALTERM reduces the cysts in size to those of benign nature).
You must make sure that the applier doesn’t touch the aureola of the nipple.

COMMENTARY Maintenance treatments can be performed.
